Keto Chocolate Smoothie Recipe - How to make the best easy low carb sugar free smoothies with almond milk

Keto Chocolate Smoothie

This Keto Chocolate Smoothie makes a brilliant low carb snack, breakfast or sweet treat.

As you’ll see from the video on this page, I used my handy Nutribullet to blend together the milkshake. I use mine every few days for making keto shakes and smoothies. You can even drink your treat straight from the blender cup! (Shop for Nutribullets on Amazon.)

Low Carb Smoothie Ingredients

Low carb smoothie ingredients

Almond Milk – is my low carb milk of choice, you can use any keto milk instead, if you like.

Keto Protein Powder – you can use whatever protein powder you like, if you’d like to create a high protein smoothie. My protein powder is chocolate flavored, adding an extra chocolate element to the smoothie. (Shop keto protein powders on Amazon.)

Stevia – or your sweetener of choice to sweeten the smoothie.

Blending ingredients together

Chia Seeds – to add healthy fiber and omega 3’s. (Read more about chia seeds on keto.)

Almond Butter –  I adore including a teaspoon of almond butter in my keto smoothies because it adds in extra natural protein, healthy fats and makes it wonderfully creamy. You can swap the almond butter for peanut butter or another nut butter if you like. Or, just leave it out if you’d prefer.

Cocoa Powder – use cocoa or cacao powder for the chocolate element of the smoothie. I used about a half a tablespoon, in this instance, but you can add more to make it more rich and chocolatey. You could also add in a chopped or grated square of keto chocolate too.

Keto Raspberry Smoothie Recipe – How to make an easy 3 ingredient low carb smoothie with raspberries.

3 Ingredient Keto Raspberry Smoothie

Keto Raspberry Smoothie Recipe

This easy keto raspberry smoothie recipe has only 3 ingredients and is really quick to throw together.

You can enjoy this smoothie as a snack, sweet treat or add in a scoop of protein powder and have it for breakfast.

I like to use my Nutribullet for blending together smoothies. It’s easy to use and you can conveniently even drink the smoothie straight from the blender cup. (Here are Nutribullets on Amazon.)

Low Carb Smoothie Ingredients

When looking for a keto friendly yogurt option, the best bet is usually a plain, natural or Greek Yogurt variety. Those options usually have the lowest carbs and sugars.

Ingredients for low carb smoothies

I’ve used canned coconut milk as my milk of choice as it’s low in carbs and high in healthy fats. I do tend to water it down slightly because it’s just so thick.

If you’d prefer to use almond milk or another low carb milk you can use 3/4 cup of a cup and no water instead.

Blending the smoothie

I’ve gone for frozen raspberries to give the smoothie a refreshing, frosty texture.

You could use fresh raspberries instead if you want, if they are in season and economically friendly.

I find that keeping a bag of frozen raspberries in the freezer lasts ages as I only use a quarter of a cup at a time.
