You can sweeten the panna cotta by adding in a couple of tablespoons (or more) of stevia, or your sweetener of choice.

Keto Bulletproof Tea Recipe

Keto Bulletproof Tea Recipe – How to make low carb hot drinks with butter, heavy cream, coconut oil or MCT oil and green tea, matcha or your tea of choice – with the video.

Keto Bulletproof Tea Recipe - How to make low carb hot drinks with butter, heavy cream, coconut oil or MCT oil

Keto Bulletproof Tea

Keto Bulletproof Tea is a wonderful warming drink to make to help you meet your macros and keep you full for hours.

You can use a milk frother or blender to blend your tea together, or simply whisk well with a teaspoon to help the healthy fats emulsify with the tea.

Can You Drink Tea On A Keto Diet?

Yes, you absolutely can drink tea on keto, which means you can incorpoate a whole range of tasty (and nutritious) flavored warm drinks in your diet.

My local health food store has a rainbow of herbal teas to choose from. I tend to lean towards peppermint flavored tea, as a personal preference.

Tea options

You may prefer matcha, green tea, English Breakfast tea or really any tea you’d like.

Just be sure that there are no sugar or carbs added into herbal or flavored teas and you can happily include them in your diet.

Healthy Fat Options

There are a number of healthy fat options to choose from. Start small with a half a teaspoon (or less) to help your body get used to ingesting tea with fat.

Once you’re used to it, you can include a teaspoon, tablespoon or more. And, choose one healthy fat or include a combination for added nutritional benefit. (And taste!)

Healthy fat options

Here are some options for you to choose from:

  • Butter
  • Coconut Oil
  • MCT Oil
  • Heavy Cream
  • Peanut Butter or Almond Butter
Keto Tea With Butter and Heavy Cream

Keto Bulletproof Tea Recipe

  • 1 Teabag
  • 1/2 teaspoon to 1 Tablespoon Healthy Fat (as listed above)
  1. Place a teabag into a mug and pour over recently boiled water from a kettle.
  2. Allow the tea to brew for a couple of minutes, then remove the teabag.
  3. Add in your health fat (or fats) of choice, mix really well to emulsify, then enjoy.

Keto Chocolate Smoothie Recipe

Keto Chocolate Smoothie Recipe – How to make the best easy low carb sugar free smoothies with almond milk and protein powder – with the video tutorial.

Keto Chocolate Smoothie Recipe - How to make the best easy low carb sugar free smoothies with almond milk

Keto Chocolate Smoothie

This Keto Chocolate Smoothie makes a brilliant low carb snack, breakfast or sweet treat.

As you’ll see from the video on this page, I used my handy Nutribullet to blend together the milkshake. I use mine every few days for making keto shakes and smoothies. You can even drink your treat straight from the blender cup! (Shop for Nutribullets on Amazon.)

Low Carb Smoothie Ingredients

Low carb smoothie ingredients

Almond Milk – is my low carb milk of choice, you can use any keto milk instead, if you like.

Keto Protein Powder – you can use whatever protein powder you like, if you’d like to create a high protein smoothie. My protein powder is chocolate flavored, adding an extra chocolate element to the smoothie. (Shop keto protein powders on Amazon.)

Stevia – or your sweetener of choice to sweeten the smoothie.

Blending ingredients together

Chia Seeds – to add healthy fiber and omega 3’s. (Read more about chia seeds on keto.)

Almond Butter –  I adore including a teaspoon of almond butter in my keto smoothies because it adds in extra natural protein, healthy fats and makes it wonderfully creamy. You can swap the almond butter for peanut butter or another nut butter if you like. Or, just leave it out if you’d prefer.

Cocoa Powder – use cocoa or cacao powder for the chocolate element of the smoothie. I used about a half a tablespoon, in this instance, but you can add more to make it more rich and chocolatey. You could also add in a chopped or grated square of keto chocolate too.

How to make low carb smoothie with almond milk

Keto Chocolate Smoothie Recipe

  • 1 Cup Almond Milk
  • 1/2 to 1 Tablespoon/Scoop Keto Protein Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Stevia
  • 1-2 teaspoons Chia Seeds

  • 1/2 to 1 Tablespoon Cocoa Powder
  1. Place all of the ingredients into a high speed blender.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides and keep blending if needed.
  3. Drink straight from the blender cup or pour into a glass and enjoy.

Keto Coleslaw Recipe - How to make easy 2 ingredient low carb creamy salad slaw with cabbage and sour cream dressing

Keto Coleslaw Recipe

This Keto Coleslaw Recipe makes an easy, creamy low carb side or salad that has only 2 ingredient – cabbage and sour cream.

You can use any budget friendly cabbage you like and either grate or chop from a head of cabbage or buy already shredded cabbage to make an almost instant salad. (For more budget inspiration, here’s my cheap keto grocery list.)

I find sour cream to contain the perfect creamy, sour, tangy flavor that a coleslaw calls out for. Feel free to swap for keto friendly mayo, natural or Greek yogurt instead.

More Low Carb Slaw Ingredients

Bowl of cabbage

Here are more ideas for low carb ingredients to include in your slaw:

Lemon – zest or juice can be squeezed over.

Apple Cider Vinegar – drizzle over a teaspoon or more.

Stevia – to balance the sourness with some sweetness.

Garlic or Onion – briefly saute and then toss through your slaw.

Cheese – grated cheese, feta or crumbled goats cheese for a cheesy keto coleslaw.

Nuts or Seeds – toasted almonds, walnuts, pumpkin or sunflower seeds can be sprinkled over the salad for a nutty, crunchy element.

Salt & Pepper – or any other seasoning you like, to taste.

Keto Easter Dessert Recipe

February 4, 2021 by Easy Keto Living

Keto Easter Dessert Recipe – Easy Low Carb Sugar Free Chocolate Easter Candy Nests – How To Make Ketogenic Treat Desserts Recipes – with video.

Keto Easter Dessert Recipe - Easy Low Carb Chocolate Easter Candy Nests

Keto Easter Dessert Recipe

This Keto Easter Dessert Recipe is quick to make and is a tasty treat that will keep you on plan and help you resist temptation over the Easter period, especially a tempting chocolate Easter bunny or hot cross buns.

This keto recipe is my version of chocolate Easter nests, peanut butter eggs or Easter baskets.

Instead of using carby ingredients, I’ve gone for the healthier option of including simple ingredients of nuts, coconut and peanut butter to construct the tasty treats, instead of white sugars that you’ll often find in similar Easter classic recipes like an Easter basket.

The ketogenic diet nests need to made ahead of time and then you can just store them in a container in the fridge to enjoy whenever sweet cravings strike.

Plus, they are low in net carbs and loaded with healthy fats and protein, so that are actually good for you and perfect to include in your keto meal plan. (As opposed to sugar loaded carb full traditional Easter eggs!)

The best part is that you only need minutes of prep time to create these perfect keto Easter dessert treat, that you can really enjoy any time of year because they are so much fun to make and a delightful low carb dessert to enjoy.

Keto chocolate easter nests

To make the dark chocolate nests is easy. Simply mix together the dry ingredients of flaked almonds and coconut in a medium bowl. I’d suggest using the flaked almond in the easy recipe and avoiding the temptation to swap for almond flour or coconut flour.

Then, melt the peanut butter, butter, cocoa powder and stevia together until smooth and creamy. Feel free to swap the stevia for monk fruit sweetener or your keto friendly sugar free sweetener of choice.

You can enhance the flavor of the sweet treats by adding in a pinch of sea salt or half a teaspoon of vanilla extract. You can stir sugar free chocolate chips or keto sprinkles through the mixture for extra indulgent homemade keto treats.

Pour the wet ingredients mixture over the bowl with the nuts and then drop a couple of spoons into cupcake liners lined up on a baking sheet. (Like these on Amazon.)

Then just pop them into the fridge for a few hours to harden and enjoy over the Easter season or anytime you’re craving a no bake treat on your Keto journey.

You can enjoy a couple as a delicious breakfast or Easter brunch with a cup of Keto coffee, tea or hot chocolate or serve following your Easter meal as the perfect treat that the whole family will happily devour.

The great dessert will also satisfy your sweet tooth and help you on your way to achieving your health and weight loss goals.

Kombucha On Keto

February 1, 2021 by Easy Keto Living

Kombucha On Keto – Tips for whether to include Kombucha in your low carb sugar free ketogenic diet – discussing how many carbs are in kombucha, benefits and whether it’s allowed on Keto.

Kombucha On Keto – Tips for whether to include Kombucha in your low carb sugar free ketogenic diet

Kombucha On Keto

In this post, you’ll learn not only about how to include Kombucha tea on a keto lifestyle. You’ll also learn what kombucha is and the health benefits of kombucha so you can decide if having kombucha is the best thing for you on your low carb diet.

It’s funny to think that drinking kombucha nowadays is no longer considered “weird” or “unusual” as it once way. Thanks mainly to the health benefits that have been promoted and in part to the large array of kombucha brands selling bottled kombucha in todays market.

As it happens kombucha is not only is good for you, it happens to have a tasty tangy natural flavour.

So what is Kombucha? Should you drink it and how many carbs are in a bottle?

What is Kombucha?

Kombucha is a fermented tea or sweet tea made from a Symbiotic Consortium Of Bacteria and Yeasts commonly called a SCOBY.

By adding sugar to lactic acid bacteria (LAB), acetic acid bacteria (AAB), and yeast, it ferments over time or changes it’s structure and function becoming a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast – SCOBY. (Shop for a SCOBY on Amazon.)

With the SCOBY the first thing you add is brewed tea (normally green tea or black tea) and flavor (such as apple or lemon) and sugar for the SCOBY (and optional added fruit) to ferment for a period of time (1- 4 weeks usually) becoming the fermented tea drink we know as Kombucha.

Here’s a video showing you how to make Kombucha from scratch at home.

How many carbs are in Kombucha

While the nutritional information may vary depending on the store-bought kombucha variety you buy, below you’ll find the typical nutrition label content based on one cup (247g) of kombucha.

  • Calories 34
  • Total Fat 0.6g (saturated fat 0.1g)
  • Total grams of carbohydrates 5.8g
  • Dietary fiber 1.9g
  • Grams of net carbs (Total carbs – fiber) 3.9g
  • Grams of Sugar 2.1g

There are about 6-12 grams of carbs in a typical bottle of kombucha. This depends on the store-bought brands you choose, so please read the nutritional label carefully before buying.

Some grocery store bought brands may have a second fermentation process which can add added sugar so watch out for those and check how much sugar it really contains.

If you have homemade kombucha it tends to have a longer the fermentation time, the (normally) lower the sugar levels so in turn fewer carbs. Just be careful with your amount so you keep to your total net daily carb intake.

Is kombucha allowed on a Keto diet?

Yes and No. It depends on your own low-carb diet goals, how you allocate your carb content and what brand and flavour you choose.

Raw – No pasteurised or filtered varieties as further processing can reduce good bacteria and potentially lessen the benefits kombucha could do for your overall health.

Keto Mascarpone Dessert Recipe - How to make an easy creamy 3 ingredient low carb chocolate mousse without eggs or gelatin

Keto Mascarpone Dessert

This Keto Mascarpone Dessert is an easy 3 ingredient low carb chocolate mousse that’s dark and decadent.

Using mascarpone creates a light, airy, super creamy mousse without the need for gelatin or eggs.

To make the easy dessert, you only need 3 ingredients:

Melting chocolate and cream

Keto Chocolate – you can use any low carb, sugar free chocolate you like. I tend to find that 85% or 90% is usually keto friendly. (Like this one on Amazon.)

Cream – use heavy, whipping or double cream – really any cream that you can whisk into airy whipped cream is perfect.

Mascarpone Cheese – light mascarpone cheese is usually used in desserts like tiramisu and creates a wonderfully creamy and rich sweet treat.
