Keto Chocolate Whipped Cream Frosting

November 12, 2017 by Easy Keto Living

Keto Chocolate Whipped Cream Frosting Recipe – Easy Low Carb Homemade Chocolate Filling or Dessert which could also be enjoyed as a chocolate mousse!

Keto chocolate whipped cream frosting

Keto Chocolate Whipped Cream Frosting Recipe

This sweet treat is somewhere between a traditional frosting and a chocolate mousse, but leaning more towards something you’d frost or fill a tempting delight with.

How to make Easy Low Carb Chocolate Frosting

Here’s how to make this easy Keto Chocolate Whippped Cream Frosting.

First, get out your ingredients – 1 Cup of Cream (you can use heavy or whipping cream), 1 teaspoon of vanilla flavoring, 1 tablespoon of stevia and 2 tablespoons of cacao powder. You can start with this volume of stevia and cacao and then add more to taste.

Ingredients for low carb chocolate frosting

Next, pour the cream into a large bowl.

Pouring cream into a bowl

Then, whip the cream until you have thick, smooth peaks. You can do this by hand with a whisk if you want, but I prefer to use my hand mixer for this job.

Whipped Cream

Now to add the flavorings – vanilla and stevia go in first.

You’re probably best off sieving, with a small strainer, the cacao powder into the mixture, to avoid any cacao lumps.

Sieving Cacao Powder over the whipped cream

Give the mixture another whisk, scraping down the sides to get it all fully incorporated.

Whipping the ingredients together

Whisk until smooth and then taste and add more stevia or cacao powder to make your keto chocolate whipped cream sweeter or give it a darker chocolate flavor.

As you can tell, this really is an easy recipe. Now that you’ve made your frosting, what can you do with it? Well, apart from enjoying it by the spoonful, you could use it in place of frosting or icing on your favorite Keto sweet treat.

Or, you could serve it with berries or even sandwich a couple of keto chocolate chip cookies together with a dollop (or two) of frosting. The choice is yours!

2 Ingredient Chocolate Fat Bombs

2 Ingredient Chocolate Fat Bombs Recipe

When you’re on a diet like the low carb, ketogenic diet then it’s really important that you’re getting enough fat. This helps keep your energy levels up and keep you satiated.

An easy way to do this is to prepare fat bombs which, as the name suggests, provides a massive amount of fat in one tiny bite.

heart shaped candy

Depending on the percentage chocolate you use, and how sweet you want your fat bombs, you may want to add Stevia or your sweetner of choice to taste.

You’ll find that your tolerance for bitter chocolate changes as you progress through the Keto Diet.

When I started I could barely cope with 70% chocolate without adding copious amounts of Stevia. Now, however, I can enjoy 90% Dark Chocolate with little to no Stevia added.

Feel free to also flavour your chocolate with your flavouring of choice – you could use vanilla, mint or even orange for custom flavoured chocolate fat bombs.

  6. When cool enough to handle, fill a candy mold with the chocolate mixture.

Low Carb Strawberries and Cream Shake Recipe

Strawberries and cream is my absolute, all time, go to keto dessert. What’s simpler than a bowl full of strawberries topped with a (generous) swirl of cream?

Well, this low carb strawberries and cream shake recipe is like drinking a bowl full of strawberries and cream!

Of course I have to top my shake with a swirl of whipped cream. Because – whipped cream!

This makes an excellent keto dessert, but I’ve also had it for breakfast as it’s really a complete keto meal when you add the optional low carb protein powder. (Find low carb protein powder here.)

I like to add protein powder to my shakes and smoothies as I have a lovely vanilla flavoured protein powder which thickens and sweetens while adding a portion of protein to my drink.

Low Carb Dark Chocolate Bark Recipe

Low Carb Dark Chocolate Bark with Toasted Almonds – Easy Keto Chocolate Candy Recipes – How to make sugar free almond chocolate bark candy. Keto Chocolate Fat Bombs Fun!

Low Carb Dark Chocolate Bark with Toasted Almonds

Low Carb Dark Chocolate Bark Recipe

This low carb dark chocolate bark tastes AMAZING! The easy recipe includes such simple ingredients, yet together they make such a sophisticated keto chocolate candy that you won’t believe you’re indulging in a low carb treat that will help you meet your macros and health and weight loss goals.

It’s up to you if you’d prefer to double the recipe. Personally, I prefer to have a small amount to hand, otherwise I demolish it all WAY too soon.

This would make excellent homemade gifts for friends or loved ones, especially during the holiday season – but it’s also a delicious Keto Treat to make for yourself to satisfy your sweet tooth!

Melted chocolate topped with almonds about to go into the fridge

Butter is used in this bark recipe for it’s creamy texture and because butter really makes everything better…

And it’s especially true with this low carb chocolate bark – the butter results in a smooth, creamy dreamy bark that’s irresistible! You could of course swap the butter for coconut oil if you’d prefer for the sweet treat to be dairy free.

I’ve used almonds in this keto almond bark but you can feel free to add in macadamia nuts, pecan nuts, walnuts, sunflower seeds, unsweetened coconut flakes or any other low-carb diet friendly nut or seed you like.

The darker the chocolate you use, the lower the net carbs and higher the healthy fats tend to be, while still satisfying your chocolate cravings. I used 85% Lindt Chocolate and sweetened with 1 Tablespoon of Stevia for the perfect sweetness for me.

Feel free to use your unsweetened chocolate bar or dark chocolate chips of choice and adjust the sweetness in the keto bark recipe accordingly. You can also swap the stevia for monk fruit sweetener or your keto sweetener of choice.

  • 1 Tablespoon Stevia
  1. Heat a frying pan and when hot briefly toast the almonds until fragrant.
  2. Remove to a heatproof bowl to cool.
  3. Cover a baking sheet or cookie sheet with parchment paper and grease if needed.
  4. Melt the chocolate, butter and stevia together over a low heat in a small saucepan or by using a double boiler method.
  5. As soon as the chocolate has melted pour onto the prepared parchment paper.
  6. Scatter over the almonds, submerging some under the melted chocolate mixture and leaving some on top.
  7. Allow to cool to room temperature then refrigerate to harden – about half an hour should do it.
  8. Remove from the fridge, break into bark and move to an airtight container.
  9. Store in the fridge for a couple of days – if the ketogenic diet friendly chocolate treat lasts that long!
